Returned from the American Library Association meeting in Washington D.C. On my one free afternoon I went over to Georgetown to visit a wonderful new store and framing business: E’Clat de Verre. They are a French company and this is their first U.S. store. They do high end French-style framing, and teach classes as well. My interest was in their amazing selection of papers, some of which are not available elsewhere domestically that I know of. They also have some unusual supplies and tools. Great books about cartonage, but all in French, alas. I spent money on some very special paper, so I’d better get to work on some boxes this weekend!
